This Craft Stick Initial Plaque is nice to use as a decoration plus it will help children to improve their letter recognition. Push and glue popsicle sticks close together then glue two sticks crosswise to form your plaque. Use masking tape to mark off the letter and paint the stick plaque. Pull off the tape after painting and you’re ready to check out your masterpiece.

This Teaching Letter Recognition activity focuses on matching lowercase and uppercase letters. Cut your popsicle stick into 2 parts. Use the upper part for uppercase letters and the lower part for lowercase letters. Separate and mix all sticks so kids can play and match the letters together.

Another cool way to match and pair letters is through this Letter Matching Activity using a recycled box. Puncture 26 holes on one side of the box – make sure the size of the holes is enough to insert the popsicle sticks. Label each hole with a letter.
Use foam letter stickers to label the popsicle sticks and match the stick letters to the letter on the box.
